Phantasmic Entertainment, Inc. was organized as a market development and creative "think tank" for the development of opportunities associated with holographic projection technology.
The company first looked at a foil based technology commonly known as "Pepper's Ghost" to examine the market potential of the opportunity, but soon learned there was limited commercial potential and the technology was being actively developed by a United Kingdom company named Musion who was recognized around the world as the market leader in that category.
The company then turned its attention to a California based start-up public company by the name of Provision Interactive Technologies, Inc. who had strong patent protection for their projected image holography (Holovision™) and was searching for a relationship with a company with our skills and connections.
In 2011, we entered into our first of several agreements with Provision for the installation of their products within the retail community.
Phantasmic Entertainment, through its contractual agreements with Provision has, among other rights, the right to purchase, install and monitor 3D holographic units on a shared income basis within the retail marketplace with companies having less than 750 individual locations. The exception to that agreement is Rite Aid Drug Stores as Phantasmic has the right to do business with the initial 1,200 locations and an option on the balance of the 3,503 remaining locations.
The multifunctional 3D Rite Aid kiosks provide not only holographic advertising but the ability for the 53 million Rite Aid Wellness Card holders to participate in discounts, incentives and product samples that are all available to them on the unit.
National advertising, local advertising, discount coupons, product incentives and product samples all contribute to Phantasmics' income from the kiosk.
